Story behind
When I was a child, I dreamed of having wings so that I could fly as high as a bird. When I was bit older, I read that the Wright brothers (Wilbur and Orville Wright) invented the world's first airplane in 1903. When I was fourteen years old, I determined to build one myself. “I need a chainsaw! Where to buy a chainsaw? Will all the parts be available in Ap Liu Street?” At that time I lived in Kowloon with my family. “Where can I try flying without my mum knowing?”
Now I have two teenage sons. They also have the same desire to make their own airplane, but after a while they changed their mind as they reckoned that buying a DRONE would be much better. They can explore the world in high altitude without the risk of killing themselves. I laughed my heart out!
The protagonist in the painting is Rex. Every time when his master takes him out for an excursion, he is engrossed in chasing birds and butterflies. Rex must have been a bird in his previous life, if not, definitely Wilbur or Orville Wright.
